Jenny

Actinidia chinensis Jenny

Self-pollinating kiwi
The Jenny produces a tasty, small kiwi, resulting from a cross with 'Atlas' as father and 'Hayward' as mother. Fresh, sweet and sour taste.

Pollination
The Jenny is self-pollinating and does not need a pollinator.

Pruning
Best in January, not later, because then there is a risk of exudate (so-called bleeding). In the period April – July, gradually prune back long 1-year-old shoots to about 15 cm past the last fruit.

Fertilization
A slightly acidic, airy soil is ideal. Needs a fair amount of well-rotted compost regularly during the growing season. 7 to 8 kg of compost per square meter every year is not an exaggeration.
