Atlas
Actinidia chinensis Atlas
Male kiwi
The Atlas is a decorative male plant that produces only very beautiful flowers.
Pollination
This male plant is needed to pollinate the female plant. Does not give kiwis itself.
prune
in January, not later, because then there is a risk of exudate (so-called bleeding). In the period April – July, long branches should be pruned back to the top wire to which the branches are attached.
Fertilization
A slightly acidic, airy soil is ideal. Needs a fair amount of well-rotted compost regularly during the growing season. 7 to 8 kg of compost per square meter every year is not an exaggeration.
