The Japanese wool medlar is also known as Loquat. It is a graceful plant of Asian origin. The fruits of the Japanese wool medlar taste like plum-apricot.
The fruits can be eaten raw. Ripening on the tree is recommended. Winter hardy to approx. -5ºC.
