Solaris

Vitis vinifera Solaris

White grape
The Solaris is a very tasty table and wine grape with a sweet taste and produces large trusses. The Solaris is resistant to disease and bears fruit easily. Highly resistant to mildew and botrytis.

Pollination
Self-pollinating.

Prune
in June. Make sure that the plant does not naturalize and that it continues to grow nicely open.

Fertilization
In winter, the larger the plant, the more lime the plant needs. For sour fruits, use more lime the following winter for sweeter fruits.

Additional information about this plant: It is a relatively new grape variety. It is very suitable for the somewhat colder climate in the Netherlands, for example, and is mainly used in wine growing in this region. The Solaris produces a firm white wine with a floral aroma and a honey-like aftertaste. Nevertheless, the golden-yellow fruits are very suitable for direct consumption due to the high sugar content. The early time of harvest is characteristic, so you can enjoy fresh fruit from your own garden "early in the summer".
