The Jonkheer van Tets is a beautiful red berry that grows and blooms well without much attention.
Berry bushes can be planted as a shrub and as a hedge or espalier.
A hedge can be pruned more easily and kept more compact. The berries also ripen faster and are of better quality. Not only are they delicious in cakes or sauces, but the bushes themselves also look beautiful. Jonkheer van Tets tastes sweet and sour.

Likes a sunny open spot, sheltered from strong winds and severe frost. They also fit well in a small garden.

This red berry is self-pollinating.

Pruning
It is best to prune a red currant in the winter, but not when it freezes. This red berry shrub bears on both one and two-year-old wood, so cut away branches that are too old. Make sure there is sufficient light in the base.

Fertilization
