Black sweet cherry
The Varikse Zwarte is a black cherry with a nice sweet taste. The leaf has a high ornamental value due to the black fruits and snow-white blossom. Very suitable as a espalier.

Pollination
Does one definitely need another pollinator. Examples of good pollinators are Burlat, Dubbele Meikers , Lapins and Morel .

Pruning
After harvest, never in winter. Cherries are real growers, but if you want to keep the tree small, prune back all newly grown shoots so that 4 or 5 leaves remain. Continue to do this until the end of the growing season.

Fertilization
Give organic-mineral fertilizer in February and autumn.
