Cranberry
The Cranberry is very tasty and also healthy. The Cranberry is a purely wild fruit and cultural measures such as fertilizing, irrigating and silting up are not allowed. As a result, the berry retains its natural character. When ripe they have a dark red to bluish color. The cranberry can be used in many ways, both for meat dishes and for sweet dishes (desserts and pies). The cranberry has a medicinal effect on the stomach, intestines and kidneys. Cranberry can also be used to make purées, jams and juices.
The Cranberry is also popularly called Lepeltjesheide. Also known as: 'Big cranberry'. The Cranberry flowers from June to August. the blue-red Cranberry fruits quite late, namely from September to November. This makes this a very nice addition to any (vegetable) garden!

Fertilization
The Cranberry prefers an acidic soil, such as heather and peat. You can achieve the acid content in the soil by adding peat to the soil. The plant is a real creeper and is therefore also very suitable as a ground cover.
