Blueberry
Blueberries are cultivated blueberries. They are therefore incorrectly called blueberries. The blueberry is matte in color. The Bluecrop can be picked in August, but other Blueberry varieties can be picked in July or September. The plants are self-pollinating, but cross-pollination produces larger berries. The bigger the berries are, the better the taste. The plant grows well in humus-rich, acidic soil. Use an organic fertilizer. Prune the plant regularly. You can prune the plant as you wish.
Blueberries are not only very tasty, but also very healthy.
The sweet berry is packed with antioxidants. Antioxidants are important substances for a healthy metabolism in the body and can be found in all cells. There are few foods that contain more antioxidants than blueberries. In addition to blueberries, plums and blue grapes are high in antioxidants. Anthocyanin, the substance that gives the blueberry its blue color, has been shown to have an anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, cholesterol-lowering and protective effect against various diseases.
Blueberries also promote collagen production. Collagen is the natural substance that keeps the skin elastic and therefore young. The Blueberry fits perfectly in this time, when we all want to make a responsible food choice.
