Little Black Prince

Rubus fruticosus Little Black Prince

Compact blackberry
The Little Black Prince is a unique blackberry variety because of its compact growth. This variety does not grow higher than 70-100 cm and is therefore very suitable for planting in a small garden or in a pot for the balcony or terrace. The plant gets sturdy stems that do not need support. The medium-sized, glossy fruits have a refreshing sweet taste.

Pollination
Self-pollinating

Pruning
Fruits from early July on biennial stems and from mid-August to late September on the new annual stems. Cut off stems in March according to the desired harvest period.

Fertilization
Blackberries like humus-rich, slightly acidic soil and therefore require an organic fertilizer.
