De Rode Boskoop is sometimes called Goudreinet. A firm and sour purée, very suitable for baking pies.

Pollination
Cross-pollination necessary with, for example, James Grieve.

Prune
In winter or around July 1. Bend fruit-bearing branches horizontally. Cut long vertical branches (so-called shoots) completely away. Dare to prune.

Fertilization
In the autumn a rich gift of an organic fertilizer. When the fruit is rich in the summer, do it again. Add lime moderately for sweeter fruits.
