Facts about this variety:
Jonagold is an apple variety. This originated in the USA and was introduced in Europe at the end of the 1960s, via Jef De Coster (February 3, 1930 – October 23, 2010) (Zuurbemde, Belgium). It is therefore widely planted in the Sint-Truidense fruit region in the Limburg Haspengouw. It quickly became a big success because it gives a very high production per hectare and combines the excellent taste properties of the 'Jonathan' with the good storage properties of the ' Golden delicious '.
